book review: Heat

Mike Lupicas book Heat was a good read that I would to recommend to any sports reader.

The setting of this book was in the Bronx on the ball fields an in the city.  Michal, Carlos an his dad came from Cuba an once they get to America there life gets better then something horrible happens Carlos if forced to work two jobs an keep his age a secret to keep his jobs because he is only 17.

The brothers in this story was as real as they come. they were very close to one another. Carlos did all he could to keep them together. working two jobs not fighting an keeping Michale out of trouble so they wouldn't be split apart an put into foster homes.

I can think of nothing that compares to the struggles of these two brothers. It was Michale's dream to go to the little league world series in Williams Port, but when he couldn't get his birth certificate from Cuba problems began to arise. Also Carlos was having problems with work.

I would recommend this book to any body who likes sports or a slightly suspenseful read. You never know whats gonna happen next in this story.

bullying

During the story a rose for Emily the bullying was very obvious. She had claimed to not have to pay taxes but the man she was talking bout had been dead for ten years. Also she killed the man she wanted to marry so he couldn't ever leave her. She poisoned him with arsenic. After he was dead she slept with him till her death an his body was badly decomposed.
